S.O.S. Recovery™ is a short in-salon treatment for hair in crisis: dry, tangled and rough after heat damage or a failed treatment. It consists of three steps — washing with a shampoo, a mask and a leave-in finisher, applied before drying. The hair is soft afterwards and can be combed without pulling. It is often the first visit before a longer rebuilding process.

How is the treatment performed?
Time in the chair: about an hour, depending on hair length and condition
- The hairdresser examines the hair and checks where it tangles and breaks the most.
- Washing with a repairing shampoo, with a gentle scalp massage, usually twice.
- Mask on lengths and ends, distributed evenly — left on for up to twenty minutes.
- Thorough rinsing and detangling from the ends upwards, without pulling the strands.
- Leave-in finisher, applied strand by strand from the ends, before drying.
- Drying and styling, followed by a conversation about home care and next steps.
How long does it take and how much does it cost?
Time in the chair is usually about an hour — longer if the hair is long, thick, and very tangled, as detangling requires patience. We do not set the price: the treatment is performed by a salon, and the salon maintains its own price list. We do not provide a market price range here because we do not have our own price tracking for this treatment, and a made-up number would be worse than none. The amount depends on hair length and whether you combine the treatment with another service — you will find out upon booking.
How long does the effect last?
The effect of S.O.S. Recovery™ fades gradually with subsequent washes — the manufacturer's documentation does not provide a number of weeks here, so we do not invent it. How much remains depends on the condition of the hair and how you treat it daily. Gentle washing helps to maintain the effect longer. For home use, we recommend the same line in a set: shampoo, mask, and finisher, described below.

Will this treatment damage my hair?
It involves no hot straightening or chemical processing — it is a shampoo, mask, and finisher, meaning cosmetics applied to the hair. The most risk comes from detangling tangled strands, which is why the hairdresser does it after the mask, from the ends upwards. For hair that breaks at the slightest touch, they first assess whether this treatment will be enough.
After how many days can I wash my hair?
You do not have to wait. The treatment ends with rinsing out the mask, so there is no waiting period before washing. You leave the salon with washed hair and a finisher that stays on until the next wash. Do your next wash with a gentle shampoo, and leave a strongly cleansing one for exceptional situations — gentle washing helps to maintain the effect longer.
Can I colour my hair before or after the treatment?
Yes — S.O.S. Recovery™ does not change the colour and does not lighten. For hair in crisis, however, the order matters: most often, it is first brought to a state where it can be detangled, and colouring is planned for later. Arrange the date with your hairdresser, as they can see if the hair can handle dye on the same day.
Is the treatment for Coloured / bleached hair?
Yes, this is a common situation — hair after colouring and lightening can be dry, rough, and hard to detangle. However, if the strands are primarily breaking, one visit will not be enough: in that case, K-Peptide Infinity Repair™, a four-step rebuilding treatment performed in a series, will work better. S.O.S. Recovery™ is sometimes the first step then.
How many times a year can it be repeated?
The manufacturer's documentation does not specify a limit, so we do not invent it. In practice, S.O.S. Recovery™ is done when the hair is in crisis again — after holidays, overheating, or a failed treatment — or on the first visit before a longer rebuilding process. The rhythm is set by the hairdresser after examining the hair, not by the calendar.
